What To Expect

At Risho no Shrine, you can learn about the life stories of Sen Rikyu and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, reflect the Japanese tea ceremony culture, and learn about the past and present life of the Japanese poetess and Yosano Akiko and her relationship with Osaka. The life of Sen Rikyu and Toyotomi Hideyoshi and the connection between these two celebrities and the city of Sakai are displayed in the Sen Rikyu Tea Ceremony. At the Yosano Akiko Memorial Hall, you can appreciate Yosano Akiko's many works, such as manuscripts, long poems, etc., from which people can realize the dramatic life of Yosano Akiko.
